Workshop on Talent Attraction and HR Management in Research at ELI ERIC in the Czech Republic
The RESAVER team was honored to participate in an insightful event held in Czechia, organized in collaboration with and hosted by Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI ERIC) at their facility in Dolní Břežany, near Prague. The workshop focused on talent attraction and brain circulation in research, within the framework of the European Research Area (ERA) Talent Platform.
The speaker lineup included Florian Gliksohn, Executive Director of ELI ERIC; Slaven Misljencevic from the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission; Indi Seehra, RESAVER Board member; as well as our colleagues Beata Cseresznye and Agustin Calvo from the RESAVER team.
We also hosted a dedicated session on the renewal process for the HR Excellence in Research Award, featuring expert contributions from Barbora Wahlová and Tereza Smužová of Charles University, and Zuzana Musilová from the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
In addition to the workshop, the program included presentations and discussions on topics such as institutional talent attraction strategies, retirement perspectives for internationally mobile researchers, and the benefits of RESAVER, the pan-European pension fund for research institutions.
The event brought together over 30 representatives from HR and research departments of universities and research centers across the Czech Republic. It provided valuable insights and practical tools to enhance institutional strategies for attracting and retaining top talent, supporting researchers’ financial well-being, and advancing the implementation of HR Excellence in Research processes.
The event took place just a few months after ELI ERIC became the first Czech organization to join RESAVER, underscoring the growing momentum for talent attraction and research mobility across the EU.
